Week 4 Sleepers GURU Style!
Week 4 has many interesting match ups that create some very nice sleepers for some great performances.
Bryant johnson - It looks like Boldin is going to miss this weeks game with a bruised hip. Bryant Johnson will be starting for him and has the speed to handle the Pittsburgh defense.
Brian Griese - he is now the starting QB in Chicago and his first test is the same Lions defense that got torched by Donovan McNabb and Co. Its in Detroit, but still we see 2 TDs, 250+ yards.
Marshan Lynch - This guy is running against a defense that gives up an average 121 yards per game and is at home. Look for 1-2 TD's and 110+ yards.
Brian Leonard - The hard hitting young fullback is starting against Dallas for Stephen Jackson. With all eyes on the Rams passing game, look for Leonard to break some runs and get a TD, maybe 2.
Jerricho Cotchery - This game will be high scoring similar to the Miami game in week 3. Cotchery will get 6-7 catches 130+ yards find the end zone.
Derrick Mason - Mason is 4th overall in the league being targeted for passes 37 times in 3 games. Look for him to haul in 8-9 catches against Cleveland and a TD.
Amani Toomer - with nearly 7 passes targeted per game and Burress possibly out, look for Eli to rely on Toomer. He will find the end zone and haul in 5 passes.
Tamp Bay Defense - Carolina is hurting and going to Tampa.
Wes Walker - Look for Brady to get 2 TDs to this guy in the Shootout at Cincy.
Edgerrin James - He's a veteran who knows Pittsburgh well. Arizona will defeat Pittsburgh and do it with his help.
Patrick Crayton - Till now he hasn't done much, but break a finger. He gets lots of targets and will find the end zone this week. He may even find it with a punt return. Look for 5 catches, 110+, and 1 TD on offense.

Week 4 START/BENCH players GURU Style!
This is the first bye week, and we also have some very interesting tough match ups. Lets pick the winners and losers for this week: (SLEEPER PLAYERS WILL NOT BE FOUND ON THIS POST. Check our Sleeper post.)
Quarterbacks Definitely Start  Peyton Manning - He will over power Denver for at least 3 TDs. He's back. Carson Palmer - Will get into a good old western shootout with Brady. Tom Brady - Will get into a good old western shootout with Palmer. Donovan McNabb - We have been pumping and dumping on this guy. He'll get 2-3 TD's in a tough game against the Giants.
Tony Romo - Easy pickins at home against the Rams defense. Philip Rivers - At home + KC = Big numbers.

Frank Gore - Can tear off some big runs against Seattle.

Brian Griese is a great start
We love the move that the Chicago Bears are making and we think he will come out and make a great first impression. The Bears are facing the same Detroit defense that Donovan McNabb threw 5 TDs against and resurrected his career. Watch for Brian Griese to come out throwing to the talented WR's he has like Berrian and Muhammad. If you have these guys, they will start to break out. Also look for him to hit his TEs. Overall the value of all offensive players on the Bears should increase, and Griese brings a fantasy resume. If you need to start a QB this week, pick him up. He will be successful, especially with that defense putting him on the field all day.

Week 3 GURU Picks In Review
Wow, this was a tough week to call. Some many tough fantasy match ups against tough defenses.
We had some success in the QB area. We recommended starting Drew Brees, Marc Bulger, and Phillip Rivers. Along with Carson Palmer, Peyton Manning, Josh McKown, and Matt Hassleback. We failed miserably with Brees and Bulger with McKown getting injured. The big guns in Manning and Palmer were quiet this week.
Rivers and Hassleback were great, so I hope you started them.
We recommended benching 7 QB's, and only the old man Brett Farve burned us. We have a high accuracy percentage picking the bench players. Alex Smith , JP Loseman, and Rex Grossman never let us down.
RUNNINGBACKS
The RB's we recommended as definite starts were great. we scored 7 out of 10, and 3 we missed except for LT actually gave solid performances. We were especially happy with Marion Barber against the Bears defense, and Joseph Addai.
We told you to bench 5 RB's, and we were perfect in that.
Wide Receivers
We recommended starting 11 WR's and was 7/11. We don't consider Chad Johnson a success unless he scores. We were very happy T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Braylon Edwards, and Roy Williams.
Out of the 5 WRs we told you to bench, none had respectable fantasy games.
The Rest
3 of our Tight Ends found great success and we did recommend the Dallas defense, and only the Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears really let us down.
Out of the 13 defenses and Tight Ends we told you to bench, only Alge Crumpler made us look bad.
Overall it was another successful week with the TRUE GURU!

Another 3-0 Week for The True GURU
I had another 3-0 day in my 3 traditional leagues, and I did it with my meal ticket in all three leagues Frank Gore getting stuffed. My primary players this week that led my teams to victory were Brian Westbrook (CBS Sportsline League), Dallas Defense (Yahoo! League), and A. Boldin (Fox Sports). So except for the one fluke loss in week 1 my teams have been unstoppable, especially in the passing and running attacks. In two of the leagues I benched quarterbacks like Tony Romo for my starter Carson Palmer and Donovan McNabb for Peyton Manning. Its comforting to have those choices.
I currently sit at 8-1 as the BYE weeks start and I don't see myself slowing down. I definitely felt as though I would lose some games this week with the tough match ups I had, but that did not happen. This week has some tough match ups as well, but I feel as though I will somehow hang on and hopefully continue my undefeated streak to 3 straight weeks. Week 3 Sleepers GURU Style!
Week two was very good for us. We had allot of success finding those sleeper picks that maybe you wouldn't start or a player who is a free agent. Either way we will pick the players we think are poised for a big week that most would not suspect. Trent Green - Green and Chambers have been hooking up allot and with Booker he can be dangerous. We see Miami matching up well with the Jets and putting on some serious points. A great start if your starting QB is facing the BEARS (for example). Josh Mckown - He should have a big game against the Cleveland defense. Start him at will. Derrick Ward - This very well could be his break out game. He's put up allot of yards, but no TD's. If the Giants want to win, he has to score. They know it, and now you know it. Jason Campbell - We are not high on this guy as a fantasy player, but this could be a week he puts up 2-3 TDs and 260 yards. The Giants love the shootout and in this NFC East showdown, the ball will be flying. We do not see a defensive game. Tatum Bell - He's running against a beat up Philadelphia defense. He will find the end zone once, maybe twice. Carnell Williams - The St. Louis Rams are just a poor defense, and Carnell needs a breakout. This game is his chance, and we see him finding the end zone here. Drew Bennett - He showed some serious skills against San Francisco. If Tampa Bay doubles Tory, look for Bennett to get many looks. He should score in this game. Bobby Engram - There will probably be another shootout in Seattle, and look for Hasselbeck to goto his goto-guy. San Francisco Defense -They can hold the Pitt Offense and if they control Willie Parker, it can be a bad day for Big Ben. Oakland Raider Defense - Was last week with Cleveland a lucky lucky day? Most of us suspect it was and watch Oakland score some defensive points. Good Luck everyone!

We had a very successful week picking who you should start and bench, and this week again we intend to improve and NOT choose McNabb, or will we. Let's see:
Quarterbacks Definitely Start  Peyton Manning - Will make up for last week against Houston. Carson Palmer - Here's Johnny! With his Co-host Chad Johnson. Jon Kitna - Getting better every game, and has a limping defense on the ropes. Tom Brady - Cheating or no cheating he will put a whoopin' on the Bills. Matt Hassleback - It will be a shootout with Palmer all over again. Josh McCown - Did you see what Carson Palmer did last week Vs. Cleveland? Philip Rivers - Look for a breakout game vs Green Bay, who will focus on LT. Marc Bulger - St. Louis simply over matches Tampa Bay. Drew Brees - He break out of his slump as long as him arm is healthy.

Matt Schaub - Vs Indy and without Andre Johnson, just sit him and see how he handles it. Rex Grossman - Dallas will own him.

LT - He will have a breakout game Vs. Green Bay. Marion Barber - When the Cowboys do score, it will be Barber getting in. LaMont Jordan - Assuming his back lets him play, start him. Adrian Peterson - Watch him and have fun. Willie Parker - Won't explode, but should have a 2 TD 100 yard day. Clinton Portis - Giants cannot and will not stop him.
Stephen Jackson - He should have a solid day, especially receiving. Shaun Alexander - Oh My! Cincy is in town, forget the boo-boo! TD heaven. Joseph Addai - Lets just say, he will be busy. 2-3 TDs wouldn't shock us. Tennessee RB's - Start them, White and Brown will find success.
Runningback Notable Worthy Starts (will not include our Sleepers) Willis McGahee - Will get yards and find the end zone Jamal Lewis - Should have a solid game vs Oakland. Brian Westbrook - His knee injury worries us, but overall he is a good start. Rudi Johnson -If they hand off he'll have a nice game. Laurence Maroney - Hasn't done much this season, here's his chance. Reggie Bush - The Saints are home, and Reggie could have a big night. Chris Benson - Should have a solid game vs Dallas.
Runningbacks to BENCH
Travis Henry - Bad match up. Larry Johnson - Never against Minnesota Ahman Green - Won't get many carries. Warrick Dunn/Norwood - Carolina too physical. Brandon Jackson - Splitting carries, and tough defense spell BAD WEEK.

Deion Branch - Playing Cincy he'll get around 40 touches. kidding, start him. T.J. Houshmandzadeh - He will get many touches and 1-2 TD's. Steve Smith - Won't have his best game, but should do great. Plaxico Burress - As long as Manning is healthy, he will score. Braylon Edwards - I started him last week, and I will again Vs. Oakland. Joey Galloway - Another defense he can slip behind.
Wide Receiver Notable Worthy Starts (will not include our Sleepers) Kevin Curtis - Should get open vs Detroit. Vincent Jackson - A TD is possible with 75 yards. Larry Fitzgerald - He could fine the end zone, but only once at best. Anquan Boldin - He could fine the end zone, but only once at best. Marques Colston - Home game means good game. Terrell Owens - Can't recommend benching, but I wouldn't expect much 70+ and maybe 1 TD. Randy Moss - He will come to earth this week, but still have a good game.
Wide Receivers to BENCH Darrnell Jackson Chicago Bears WR's - Not many balls to throw that night. Javon Walker - This is a week to forget about him. Joe Horn - Retire. Lee Evans - Not a good match up.
Tight Ends to Definitely Start Antonio Gates - a WR at TE. Todd Heap - Great match up for him Vs. Arizona. LJ Smith - I don't know why, but we like him this week. Tight End Notable Worthy Starts (will not include our Sleepers) Bo Scaife - Missing so far this season, but could find the end zone this week. Vernon Davis - You never know, but if Alex is throwing it will be to him. Heath Miller - Great Match up Kellen Winslow - No the best match up for him, but he should have a solid day. Jeremy Shockey - Tough on the road, so watch out. He's 50/50. Eric Johnson - The guy has to find the end zone. He's too good to miss.
Tight Ends To Bench Jason Whitten - Very bad match up this week Vs. Chicago. Ben Troupe - Does he still play for Tennessee? Randy McMicheal - 2 bad weeks equals a third bad week. Dallas Clark - He's hurt and may not play. Alge Crumpler - No luck this week. Bears TE's - STAY AWAY!

Alex Smith . Jason Campbell are winners, but not fantasy players
There is a thought out there in the fantasy world primarily amongst the more green (rookie) managers that if you win the NFL you must be a winner in the fantasy realm. Not true. Look at Alex Smith and Jason Campbell. In two games this season, Alex Smith has 252 yards and zero touchdowns. Granted he hasn't thrown an INT either, but without throwing any touchdowns that is very bad for fantasy owners. Even more so, he hasn't faced stellar defenses like Chicago and New England. He has faced Arizona and St. Louis. If you can't throw a TD against a banged up St, Louis you are looking at a bad season. Especially with Vernon Davis on your side. Jason Campbell is far more intriguing, but still a fantasy bust. In the first two games 431 yards, 1 TD, and 3 INTs. Even if you add in the 68 rushing yards, throwing INTS at a 3 to 1 clip isn't going to make you a fantasy star. In fantasy football to be a successful QB you need to throw 200 yards and 2 TDs(pass or run). That is not asking allot. Jason Campbell has the yards, but is far short of the TDs. When you are up against a QB like Tony Romo who's thrown 6 TDs already, 1 isn't anything to get excited about. I'm not going to tell anyone to cut these guys yet, but certainly do not start them. If the need arises then cut A. Smith. Hold on to Jason Campbell, but don't expect much. The Washington offense isn't what it use to be.

The True GURU Week 2 Picks Review
Week 2 is over and we now have in the final results. We had a very good week and if you followed our advice odds are you had a good week as well.
Quarterbacks...
We did much better in those area. Except for Donovan McNabb we had a great week. We will not be knocking on McNabb's door again until the real McNabb comes to play, and we STILL feel he will even after getting burned twice. Manning didn't have a great game, but you still have to be happy with is results at 300+ and a TD. Plus he's Manning, always start him. Delhomme, Romo, Schaub, and Palmer all had great games, especially Palmer! SO 5/6 on the QBs, which is much improved over last week. We recommended benching Eli Manning, Campbell, Grossman, and Cutler. All of them threw 1 TD, and 1-2 INTs and only 2 of them broke 200 yards. Hopefully your backup did better, but in our leagues those guys are backups.
Runningbacks...
LT had another bad game, but again I could never recommend benching him. Peterson and Bush also had average performances, so we did not fair as well on the runningbacks. However if you started LaMont Jordan, Addia, M. Barber, or Alexander you had a good day. We recommended benching Tennessee runningbacks, Ronnie Brown, Lynch, and Tatum Bell. Only LenDale White got in the end zone and 64 yards. I wouldn't call that a stellar performance, but one worth starting as a #3 RB.
Wide Receivers...
All of our WR's has great games except for Fitzgerald and Harrison, but if you are in a repceptions league they both did well. We consider it a successful 100% week with WRs primarily cause we will always recommend Harrison and almost always Fitzgerald who will come around when Lienart does. Our benches were I Bruce, Horn, Burress, and Evans. We did ok here. Bruce had a solid game, and Burress found the end zone. We were assuming the Manning wasn't going to play. Since Manning did play we would have removed him from the list.
Tight Ends...
We had a tough day with TEs. They are certainly the hardest to gauge on a week to week basis. Gates had he best week followed by Shockey. All the rest basically had 2 catches with 20 to 40 yards. Nothing to brag about. We were wrong on the benching on Benjamin Watson. He had a very good game and a TD catch.
Defenses
Our defenses did all right. Philly is a dead defense. We thought they would shine against Washington at home and failed. If not for some lucky catches Dallas would have been even better. Jacksonville, Bears, and Ravens were fantastic. We told you to bench Buffalo, Miami, NY Giants, NY Jets, Houston . Were we wrong on any of them?

A Great Day For The True GURU in All Leagues
Week 2 was a spectacular week for many of us in fantasy football. Between the Cincy/Cleveland game or the Carolina/Houston game there was much to cheer for. Week 1 may have been a bit of a sleeper, but week 2 had all the fireworks.
In my leagues I should go 4-0 and have a very solid if not awesome week in Rotohog.com. Here we go:
Rotohog.com Blogtalkradio league -- my team is finished play for week 2 and I currently stand at a #10/205, which is up from 14/182 last week. My Global ranking is up to #876 from 1209 last week. CBS Sportsline League -- (1-1) After getting upset last week by Randy Moss and the Pats defense, plus making the bad decision to start Lienart over Kitna, my team bounced back and leveled the opponent 160-129 with Brain Westbrook still left to go. I had geat performances from Gore, M. Barber, B. Edwards, and Antonio Gates. Even Kitna came back and played well. Yahoo! League -- (2-0) - Another huge win 159-79, and my opponent still has D McNabb, but its impossible for him to gain that many points. Just to make it clear, I had Carson Palmer and his 6 TDs and got 51 points, so McNabb getting 71 points is simply not possible. This team was lead by Palmer, C. Johnson, F. Gore, and K. Wislow. This is one of my best teams. Fox Sports League -- (2-0) This is a league system I'm liking more each time I use it. This week was a close game. I still have 1 player reaming, Chris Cooley, but my opponent is done and the score stands at 101-94. I had great performance's from TJ Who's Your Momma, Manning, M. Barber, and F. Gore! Extreme Expert Fantasy Football Challenge - I currently have the second highest score with McNabb left. If he out performs Trent Green, my score will go up. Injuries Creating Opportunities in Week 2
There are several key injuries that will create some opportunities this week. Here are some that could affect your fantasy team:

This has a definite impact on the entire Jets offense. Honestly we think it will be ok for the Jets running game and the WRs should see a small fall off in touches. The big problem in week 2 is they re playing Baltimore in Baltimore! That spells doom for the Jets. If you have the Baltimore defense and were considering not starting (!~) START THEM with no worries.
McCown Doubtful - Here is Culpepper's chance. Everything is pointing towards him starting. I do feel this will effect Ronald Curry numbers, but overall is a good thing for the Raiders offense.
Jacobs Out, Manning Game-time decision - This is complicated. We see big things for Derrick Ward if Manning is in, even against Green Bay. The problem is if Jared Corenzen starts this week, bench Ward. The Packers will put 8 in the box and blitz the rookie all day. Maybe in week 3 or 4 he'll be better, but not week 2.
Orlando Pace and Tye Hill out for Rams. Neither of these guys are fantasy players, but they hold huge impacts on week 2 and beyond. With Pace out for the year, this will impact Bulger, Jackson, and Holt. Look for all their numbers to sink. Pace was one of the best Offensive linemen in the league and created holes for Jackson and held off linemen form Bulger.
Tye Hill's loss on defense is great news for Alex Smith and the San Francisco offense. Look for that offense to exploit this injury and produce this week. It will help Frank Gore as well.
Shaun Alexander - He has a hurt wrist and thumb. He'll play and wear a protective shield over it. I wouldn't expect this injury to impact his play. There is always a chance of fumbling and further injury, but he is a must start, so deal with it.

Week 2 Sleepers GURU Style!
We had a 70% success rate on our 10 sleepers last week. This week we are aiming for 100%. Lets get started :
Matt Leinart ARI - Looking to rebound from last weeks poor performance, and get a win.
Brandon Jackson GNB- Can run all day on the Giants Defense.
Patrick Crayton DAL - With T.O. getting all the attention, look for Crayton to find the end zone.
Derrick Ward NYG - Looked great against Dallas, and should show up against Green Bay.
Ronald Curry OAK - He was great last week, and that was not a fluke.
Bernard Berrian CHI- This guy will make some noise against Kansas City. No doubt.
Wes Walker NEP - Can create havoc in the Chargers secondary.
Calvin Johnson DET - Looked good game one, will look better game two.
Arnez Battle SAN- Could have a big game as long as Alex Smith does. look for him to get some great catches.
Dallas Clark IND - Will fine lots of openings and the end zone.Arizona - In the desert heat could surprise the Seahawks big time.
Sebastian Janikowski OAK- A must start kicker in Mile High.

Week 2 START/BENCH players GURU Style!
 We are coming off a 50/50 week for The True GURU. We had a lot of success with our sleepers, but overall only average success. We are aiming high this week, and with a demand for kickers, we’ve added kickers. Here we go:
Colossal game this week.
Quarterbacks Definitely Start
Peyton Manning - He owns Tennessee no matter where they play
Jake Delhomme - Houston's defense is over-matched by Smith and Carter. Lots of passing yards here.
Tony Romo - Dallas will keep Miami off balance with a arsenal of weapons. Look for 2-3 TD's from Romo.
Carson Palmer - He will dominate Cleveland. 3, maybe 4 TD's and 300 yards is not out of the
Donavan Mcnabb - He let us down week one, and we expect more from him week 2 at home. Look for 2 TD's, 250 yards.
Matt Schaub - Looked great week1, and will only get better. Look for a shoot out in Carolina.
Notable Worthy Starts
Drew Brees - You have to start him, we just don't like the matchup and see Bush/McAllister having big games.
Vince Young - He'll get into a shootout with Manning, and will get some gimmie yards/TD.
Matt Hasselbeck - This is a tough call, but we suspect he will have a solid game with 2 TD's, 200 yards.
Jon Kitna - His WRs are amazing, but Minnesota is tough.
Phillip Rivers- If New England isn't cheating, look for a solid game, but its a risk in New England.
Brett Farve - Very risky start that could pay dividends against the Giants.
Trent Green- He will have success against the Cowboys, but TD's aren't a guarantee.
Bench
Rex Grossman - I wouldn't start him except against weak defenses at my 3rd option.
Eli Manning - He is hurting and I don't trust that.
Campbell - I still haven't seen enough to warrant a start. Jay Cutler - We see a bad game Vs the rival Oakland.  Runningbacks Definitely StartReggie Bush/Duece - Should over-match and dominate Tampa Bay Marion Barber - Will get the carries that count. Look for 12 TD's. Frank Gore - Will have a mammoth game against St. Louis. LT - He's LT, and will look to get revenge on the Patriots. Brian Westbrook - Will got 150 All-Purpose yards with 1-2 TD's. Adrian Peterson - Wow, Detroit's defense is suspect and this guy is good. 2 TD's is not out of the question. Joseph Addai - He should have a strong game with 1-2 TD's. LaMont Jordan - Denver is a team he can run on. look for 90 yards and a TD. Add in more for recieving. Shaun Alexander - He'll get his 110 yards and 1-2 TD's against a soft Arizona. Willie Parker - Buffalo will not contain this guy 100+ and a TD easy. Notable Worthy StartsWillis McGahee - Goal line touches are not there. Clinton Portis - Which Philly defense will show up? Rudi Johnson - I see lots of passing in this game, but 80+ and a TD is possible. Chad Johnson - Will eat up Cleveland for 1-2 TD's. Steve Smith - Will dominate the Houston secondary. Terrell Owens - He won't have as big of a game as he did week one, but 90 yards and 1 TD is easy. Tory Holt - This guy owns San Francisco. He could put up 150 and 2 TD's. Donald Driver - Will have his way with the New York Giants defense T.J. Houshmandzadeh - Will eat up Cleveland for 1-2 TD's. Marvin Harrison - Its going to be a long game. 125+ 1-2 TD's Reggie Wayne - Its going to be a long game. 100+ 1 TD Larry Fitzgerald - Will breakout this week. Look for a TD and 120+ yards. Notable Worthy Starts Roy Williams - He will get his catches and maybe 1 TD. Andre Johnson - He will have a good game, but the end zone is no guarantee. We expect he'll find it once. Ronald Curry - Coming off a great game, but having a QB change. Anquan Boldin - Solid first game, the second should be better, but no TD. Joey Galloway - He'll see a lot of looks from Garcia against the Saints. Randy Moss - Won't get 3 TDs. Maybe 1. Braylon Edwards - He loves Anderson. In 3 games together, 11-161-2 TDs. Worth a start.
Bench
Issac Bruce - Retire
Plaxico Burress- Manning is hurting and Green Bay has a tough defense.
Joe Horn - Retire
Lee Evans - Pittsburgh will be plating Losman all day.
Tight Ends Definitely Start
Antonio Gates - He should have a very good game Vs the Patriots
Jason Whitten - He'll have another big game Vs. Miami as they try to stop the WRs.
Randy McMicheals - Should breakout against the 49ers.
Vernon Davis - Will have a huge game Vs. the Rams and find the end zone with 80+ yards.
Jeremy Shockey - With a hurt arm, look for Manning to throw short.
Heath Miller - He'll catch a TD pass, and throw in 50 yards.
Notable Worthy Starts
Dallas Clark - Could find the end zone and break 80 yards.
Eric Johnson - He will have a solid game, but probably no TD.
LJ Smith - Should find the end zone with Mcnabb catching fire.
Todd Heap - Without Mcnair his looks will be limited, but he is a safety valve.
Chris Cooley- Solid start, and a TD is not out of the question.

The True GURU Week 1 Picks Review
Week 1 is completed and now we will see how The TRUE GURU did. Starting with my week 1 QBs I had: Top Five QBs: D Mcnabb (184-1-1) Tom Brady (297-3-0) T. Romo (345-5-1) Leinart (102-1-2) M. Schaub (225-1-1) Success Rate 3/5 For Quarterbacks I’m going to say I did badly. I knew going in McNabb was a risk, and he did not come out firing on all cylinders. That being said, we still see a huge season for him. He has to adjust to his new receivers and get his game legs, and then its Mcnabb of old. He overthrew Kevin Curtis twice. Once that stops, TDs will come. Leinart also had a much worst game, but has a bright future in 2007. Both Leinart and Mcnabb were on the road facing up and coming defenses in hostile stadiums. Not making excuses, I expected more out of them, but we cant be perfect. The successes were Tom Brady, Tony Romo, and Matt Schaub. We would have liked to have seen another TD out of Schaub, but he played a great game, won, and showed fantasy managers he can throw in Houston. Running Backs Gore Larry Johnson McGahee Westbrook S. Jackson Success Rate 2/5 Westbrook and McGahee had slid performances, and Gore did reach the end zone. Outside of that, terrible week picking runningbacks. Ill do better in week 2, how can I be worse? Wide Receivers S. Smith L. Fitzgerald Terrell Owen Reggie Brown TJ Houshmandzadeh Success Rate 3/5 I had much better luck with WRs. Terrell Owens, Smith, and TJ had great games. Reggie Brown and Larry Fitzgerald were heavy disappointments this week. Both will get back on the saddle next week. Tight Ends Gates McMicheals Gonzo Jason Whitten V. Davis Success Rate 2/5 If you started Jason Whitten congratulations. Other than him and Gates no one else had success. As a whole, this wasn’t a good week for TE’s. Only 4 touchdowns were caught by TE’s for the whole week.  Pittsburgh Vs. Cleveland Vikings Vs. Atlanta Patriots Vs New York Jets Cowboys Vs New York Giants Chicago Vs. San Diego Chargers Success Rate 4/5 The best I did was with defenses. Outside of the Cowboys defense all other defenses were very good to awesome. Minnesota was incredible scoring 2 touchdowns, and so was New England. The Cowboys will come around, but the Giants exposed their secondary. If it wasn’t for Burress, the Cowboys would have a much better day. Good Day For The True GURU, Bad Day for Mcnabb
The first week for the 2007 NFL season is almost over. With only 2 games its already shaped up to be a strange first week. As with all analysts and bloggers the first week is always the hardest to call. You just don’t know how the teams and players will play out.
In my fantasy leagues, I’ve had mixed results with many players left in the final 2 Monday night games. In the Extreme Expert Challenge, I simply did awful. I had Mcnabb, LJ, and Colston. Nothing much there to gain or talk about for those players, they just did badly. However, in my 3 other leagues I have a chance to win all three depending on tonight’s action. I need a huge performance from Frank Gore, who I own in all three leagues, and Matt Leinart. I also have Larry Fitzgerald, Carson Palmer, and Chad Johnson, so lots to watch. Mcnabb
We had high hopes for Mcnabb this week and he fell flat. Except for 1 TD throw there isn’t much positive news to talk about. Watching him, he looked very uncomfortable and unsure of himself. We picked him for our #1 QB this week, and knew it was a risk. We were hoping for the confident Donovan McNabb, not the one we saw. Some good things that came out of the game were his attention to Kevin Curtis. We counted 5-6 looks for Kevin Curtis. He finished with 2 for 53 yards, only 1 catch behind the leading WR for the Eagles. I think as time goes on and McNabb finds a rhythm, his chemistry with Curtis will build. The points will come.

Buy Into The Dallas Cowboy Offense ASAP
It’s no coincidence that the Cowboy put up 45 points against the Giants today. Looking back to last year the Cowboys produced a Pro Bowl quarterback, the runningback with the most touchdowns in the NFC, and the wide receiver with the most receiving touchdowns. All that in one offensive team. This team is gelling and plays some very soft defenses throughout the year, and unless the defense is top notch, they will score on it. For this season considering getting either via trade or free agency any Cowboy offensive player including Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, Marion Barber, Jason Whitten, and Patrick Crayton. Terry Glenn if he comes back. Stay away from Julius Jones; he seems to vanish when they get in field goal range. Even get the Cowboy kicker! These guys should all come up big when the Cowboys play St Louis, Washington, Buffalo, New England, Giants, Jets, Green Bay, Detroit, and Carolina. It will be a very good fantasy year for Dallas Cowboy players.

Terry Glenn OUT, Patrick Crayton IN
This probably isn't news to most, but Terry Glenn has a bad knee. He has to decide whether or not to have season ending knee surgery. No matter what, he's not playing in week 1. That means Patrick Crayton will be starting. He has had great chemistry with Tony Romo last year and we see it continuing this season. If he performs well this week and Terry Glenn's injury persists, you could be looking at a season long starter. We highly recommend picking up WR Patrick Crayton, especially if you have Terry Glenn. He could have a big year as a super sleeper.

Week 1 Best & Worse Fantasy Games GURU Style!
Week 1 provides several great games for fantasy owners and a few you would rather avoid. The first game of the week, which featured the Saints Vs Colts was setup to be an awesome game, but turned out to be a blowout. Let’s see if we can do better on Sunday.
NY Giants Vs Dallas Cowboys
This game will not only be fun to watch from a fantasy perspective, but it will be exciting as a fan. From the fantasy perspective the Cowboys have several torrid weapons to start on your fantasy team including Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, Julius Jones, Marion Barber, and Jason Whitten. All are worth a start in week one. I sleeper for the Cowboys in this game is Patrick Crayton, who will be starting for Terry Glenn. Last year he had good chemistry with Romo, and we see that continuing. On the Giants side of the ball Eli Manning, Plaxico Burress and Brandon Jacobs are worth starts, but are risky ones. I think the Giants will find the end zone at least twice, and Plaxico will get 1 along with Jacobs. We don’t recommend starting Eli Manning in this game, even if Newman doesn’t play.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers
This game should be high scoring on both ends mainly because it’s in Green Bay. Donovan Mcnabb will come out with a vengeance and dominate the Green Bay defense. Look for him to throw early and often to Reggie Brown, Kevin Curtis, ad Brain Westbrook. The sleeper for the Eagles in this game is Curtis. We all know Mcnabb likes two qualities in a WR, the ability to get open and great hands. That is what Curtis is all about. He should get 5-7 looks this week.
On the Packers side welcome in Brandon Jackson. We aren’t expecting a huge game from him, but 75 yards and a TD shouldn’t be hard to get. If the eagles don’t runaway with this game breaking 100 plus some receiving yards could happen. Driver will be active and see plenty of touches this week. With Greg Jennings hurting look for rookie James Jones to see some action. I won’t call him a sleeper for the game, but if Jennings is OUT, he’s a deep sleeper.
