Carson Palmer Has High Ankle Sprain

The tiny little ankle injury that Carson Palmer suffered in Friday's preseason opener has turned out to be a high ankle sprain. The Bengals have been downplaying the injury saying it is just a moderate leg injury but a high ankle sprain has been known to take a long time to heal. As it stands now, Palmer will not play in the Bengals next preseason game and will be held out of practice until further notice.

This is a definite situation to monitor. Palmer presents great value at the QB position in the middle rounds of drafts, where he seems to be going normally. With him healthy, the Bengals have a much better offense than they trotted out for most of last season so this news is worth keeping up on in the coming days and weeks.
