Bills owner in no hurry to move to Toronto

From NFL.com

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8110afc9&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true

Buffalo has been hit hard by the recession. Toronto would be a very good fit for an NFL franchise but hopefully it doesn't come at the expense of a fine U.S. city like Buffalo.

Lions acquire WR Dennis Northcutt

From The Detroit Free Press

http://www.freep.com/article/20090626/SPORTS01/90626072/1049/rss14

Unbelievable! Just when you think the Lions are digging themselves out of oblivion they go ahead and make a terrible personnel decision. If they wanted Northcutt they could have waited a week until he was released and then signed him to a minimal contract after that. They give up SS Gerald Alexander, who is always hurt and not that big of a loss but this was still a very dumb move by the Lions.

From Dayton Daily News

http://www.daytondailynews.com/dayton-sports/cincinnati-bengals/bengals-benson-comfortable-carrying-the-load-175466.html

Cedric Benson isn't a sexy fantasy pick for 2009, but he very well may wind up producing solid TD numbers for the Bengals.

Jaguars trying to trade WR Northcutt

From ESPN.com

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4284754&campaign=rss&source=NFLHeadlines

Gotta love how teams and agents leak stories like this. No team who knows what they are doing would give up anything just for the right to pay Northcutt $2.45 million this year. Expect an announcement of his release in the coming weeks.

From NFL.com

Herm Edwards is not a good head coach. It remains to be seen what Todd Haley can do with the lead job but asking more our of your players isn't really a bad thing.

Clinton Portis becoming a real problem for Redskins Head Coach Jim Zorn

From Profootballtalk.com

We saw Portis pop off at Zorn last season too. He doesn't like the offense and even though we may not blame him for that, his behavior here is unacceptable.

The likely outcome is either Byron Leftwich or Luke McCown will win the starting job out of camp but stay tuned...

Shaun Hill to enter camp as 49'ers starting QB

Shaun Hill is by no means the starter yet in San Francisco. Expect Alex Smith to get a healthy look too during training camp.

Donald Brown gaining ground on Addai

From NFL.com

Joseph Addai is recovering from knee surgery and the Colts didn't waste a first round pick on Brown for nothing.
