Vick signs deal with Eagles

Giant News: Nicks IN, Manningham OUT

From NY Daily News

http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/giants/2009/08/trading-places-nicks-in-mannin.html

It is worth noting which Giants WR's are missing time and which are not because this will ultimately determine who has a leg up in the very competitive WR derby going on this year. At this point Domenik Hixon is leading the way while both Nicks and Manningham hurting themselves (literally!) by missing time.

From The Denver Post

http://www.denverpost.com/sportsheadlines/ci_13049616?source=rss

The days of any RB will do in Denver are over. This is a pass first team now and will have a rotation of RB's each who bring another element to the table.

Injured Colts: Clark, Sanders, Bethea Won't Play

From NFL.com

http://www.nfl.com/trainingcamp/story?id=09000d5d811d8b5a&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true

I am suspicious of the Dallas Clark injury. My source inside the Colts tells me that there are issues with Clark that are not being discussed. While I am not ready to report those issues at this time, it should be noted that the Colts could be without their start TE for awhile. Stay tuned...

John Clayton Impressed With Cassel

From ESPN.com

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp09/columns/story?columnist=clayton_john&id=4385892

Normally, a story like this would be laughed at among us Fantasy Football Search staff especially coming from an ESPN writer. The difference is that this is John Clayton and not the goof ball Matthew Berry or Eric Karabell who are complete dopes when it comes to fantasy information. Clayton is impressed with Cassel's presence in Chiefs camp and that is pretty darn news worthy as far as we're concerned.

From NFL.com

Not a big surprise. It is still unbelievable that he will pay less of a price than Michael Vick but that is a story for The Training Camp Blog.

From SI.com

He finally gets a shot, probably his last in the NFL.

Braylon Edwards Returns To Practice

From NFL.com

http://www.nfl.com/trainingcamp/story?id=09000d5d811ae506&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true

There was thought that he might be positioning for a new contract. But that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

Reggie Bush Leaves Practice With Knee Injury

From ESPN.com

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp09/news/story?id=4378908

I just don't trust this situation and would advise against drafting Bush this season.

Bills Name Jackson Starter For First 3 Games

From Bills.com

http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2009/08/03/jauron-names-jackson-starter-for-1st-three-games/

Both Jackson and Dominic Rhodes will share carries while Marshawn Lynch serves his suspension.

Reggie Bush Knee Swelling Returns

From Profootballtalk.com

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/08/03/explosive-bush-dealing-with-swelling-in-his-knee/

A day after ESPN's Chris Mortensen described Bush as having his explosiveness back, now comes word that his surgically repaired knee is already experiencing swelling. Not a good sign for those drafting Bush this season.

Bengals TE Reggie Kelly Ruptures Achilles' Tendon; Will Miss Season

From Cincinnati Enquirer

http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20090803/SPT02/308030054/1062/SPT/Kelly+ruptures+achilles+tendon+

Ben Utecht will take over for Kelly and may wind up being a decent backup fantasy TE this season.

Marshawn Lynch Loses Appeal

From NFL.com

http://www.nfl.com/trainingcamp/story?id=09000d5d811a221a&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true

Lynch will not be playing in the Bills first 3 regular season games this year. Either Fred Jackson or Dominic Rhodes will be starting in Lynch's place.

Plaxico Burress Indicted On Weapons Charge

From NFL.com

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d811a12e0&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true

The odds of him landing with another NFL team and avoiding jail time just diminished greatly.
