Michael Crabtree Update
The 49ers' prized rookie has started to have some of the restrictions that have been placed on him after his offseason foot surgery eased up, bringing him closer to being ready when training camp opens next month. Crabtree was reamed out by coach Mike Singletary last month when he was running routes before being cleared by team's doctors to do so. I was worried about a guy like Crabtree coming to the NFL with his super sized ego. But so far it appears that he is doing everything he can to be his best when the season opens. Even though it is still early to speculate, it looks like Crabtree will open the season as the number three receiver behind Josh Morgan and Isaac Bruce. If he is half the player the 49ers thought they were drafting when they picked him, he should pass by Bruce on the depth chart at some point this season.
